Mr. Ryohei Kaname won the APMC 2021 "Student Prize".
2021年11月28日から12月1日にオンライン開催された、国際会議APMC 2021 (Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference)において、要 遼平君（博士前期課程2年）が Student Prizeを受賞しました。この賞は、上記国際学会に参加した学生のうち、極めて優秀な人に贈られるものです。

A frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) photonic radar system in the 600-GHz-band is proposed for flexible-range inspection. The operating frequency sweeps from 450 GHz to 750 GHz within ~48 msec, which corresponds to a range resolution of ~0.8 mm. The linearity of the sweeping laser is calibrated, and the collimated beam is applied for achieving a flexible imaging distance. It is also shown that the proposed system is potential for achieving a flexible imaging distance within ~700 mm, which make it suitable candidate for mounting on the other robotic platforms for large scale inspection, without using complicated signal processing.
